Even if you have been to the hospital or been evaluated by your family doctor, you may still benefit from seeing a chiropractor. Accidents at speeds as slow as 5mph can cause serious whiplash injuries and other spinal misalignments. However, our faqs show that unlike a broken bone, musculoskeletal injuries are much more difficult to diagnose. It may be weeks or even months before pain becomes evident from a musculoskeletal injury. Consequently, a prompt chiropractic evaluation from a chiropractor who is trained to diagnose musculoskeletal injuries is absolutely essential for pain management and treatment.

Whiplash is one of the most common auto accident injuries. All it takes is a rear-impact at speeds as slow as 5mph to knock the cervical spine out of alignment and trigger a whiplash injury. The force of the rear impact will whip the neck backwards and forwards, leading to stiffness and soreness, a misaligned spine, and recurring neck pain and headaches. Other faqs are common whiplash injury symptoms include recurring headaches and migraines, difficulty concentrating on simple tasks, and sleep disturbances.

Chiropractic care is highly effective for treating auto accident injuries because chiropractic care directly addresses the underlying cause for a patient’s pain – rather than “covering up” pain symptoms with medication. Drugs are limited in their effectiveness; once medication wears off, pain will return. Chiropractic adjustments, however, directly target the spinal misalignment that is underlying a patient’s pain. For example, a herniated disc that compresses the sciatic nerve will continue to cause pain as long as this nerve compression persists. Adjustments can relieve pressure on the nerve, which in turn is effective for relieving pain.

We take cash, personal/business checks for all chiropractic visits. We will be taking those plus debit/credit cards for massage and brain tap therapies. If we are treating you for injuries sustained in an accident, we will work with your attorney or automobile insurance company to help ensure payment for our services.

Chiropractic adjustments are beneficial for all. Dr. O’Neal will first conduct a comprehensive diagnostic exam to determine the root cause for your pain. Based on the exam’s results, we will create a custom treatment program tailored specifically to your pain management and rehabilitation needs.
